Friday, Week 2

Working on SUDOKU puzzles on the bus ride out to the site makes it seem faster

A double batch of concrete takes 4 wheelbarrows of sand...

..2 wheelbarrows of gravel...

...2 bags of concrete, lots of agua, and 3 strong guys to mix it all up.

Then you get down on your knees...

...to smooth it out (prayer helps too at this point), and...

...wawlaa, you have a floor.

(It helps to have an old concrete guy on the team also.)

Inside the church the painting continues. Here you have the perfect team - one painting, one holding the ladder, and one watching.

The back is feeling a lot better today. Praise the Lord for that!!

Yesterday I put paint on, so today I'll scrape it off.

In Honduras the women have to haul water.

To clean the church for painting.

If necessary they can wield a machete.

Or hand out lunch to the kids.

Today was Polaroid camera day...

...a real favorite with the kids.

When its time for midday prayers in Spanish, the kids lead the way.

It was a beautiful day...

...for an afternoon walk.

And to top it all off that evening, Bishop Allen paid us a visit.
