Monday, Week 2

Toni's big Birthday smile. Climbing the stairs for morning  prayer seems a little easier today.

Our morning prayer view from the rooftop.  It's a beautiful morning in Tegucigalpa.

Maybe the ninos won't find me out here if I keep these sunglasses on.

Jean Ann leads the ninos in construction site clean-up detail.

The craft project for today is...

...Joseph's coat of many colors.

This is called "social painting". Words fly at a furious rate.

The male approach  - just me and my paintbrush in perfect harmony.

Look, Mom, what I'm learning in the Peace Corp.

It gets so boring up here just painting.

The lunch table always draws a crowd.

A local cattle drive livens up the afternoon.

But Chris stays focused on caulking all the cracks and holes.

Who

says

painting

can't

be

FUN!

And a hug at the end of the day makes every brush stroke worth it.

To end the day we surprise Toni with a birthday party.

And party favors bring out...

...the kid in all of us.

Mine's higher than yours.

It was a great day - a day when we genuinely spread gold in Honduras. Thanks be to God for the opportunity.
