Saturday, Week 1

Morning prayer with Tegucigalpa as the backdrop.

Angie and Laura rev it up as we try to follow.

Third day walk up to clinic. The Road seems steeper...

...but the Holy Spirit senses our need.

We have much to be thankful for.

Like warm greetings...

...and the company of friends.

Eye glass dispensing - Sam works hard to find the right fit. It's not always easy...

..."I think tortoise shell would go better with my hat"

Christy and Laura in medical triage. "So that's headache, cough, abdominal pain and achy bones - sounds like parasites to me, what do you think Laura."

Christian education - Christopher and...

Letty (still hanging in there) design the...

...project for the day.

The sense of being a child.

Susan, Barbara, Lana - the latest in ear wear.

Carla works her magic in physical therapy...

while Carol and Marta assure quality control in pharmacy.

Rick prepares for a toenail removal (ouch!). Please do not attempt this at home.

Cindy contemplates the history of Honduran mission work.

After clinic we attend the local church service...

...with the community of Villanueva.

Father Don assists with the worship and also...

...a Daughters of the King ceremony.

Maria presents John with a plaque of appreciation to St. Lukes and Epiphany for their service in Villanueva...

...and St. Lukes presents a gift to the local Brotherhood of St. Andrew.

Its really about local community building...

...and the simple act of reaching out.

The road we travel is the same...

...it is the load we bear that differs.
